Student clearance prices

Single room

Most booked

from

£60

One room in halls or a shared flat. Furniture, bedding and whatever’s left in the cupboard.

Room plus shared areas

from

£110

Your room and your share of a kitchen or living room clear-out.

Whole student flat

from

£220

A full shared flat at the end of a tenancy. Split it between you and it’s cheap per head.

Clearance plus a delivery run

from

£140

We clear what’s going and take what you’re keeping to your new address or home.

What that price actually is. Starting prices with the tip fees already inside. Mattresses and electricals carry their own disposal charges, so tell us if there are any and it goes in the quote rather than appearing afterwards.

What moves the price up or down

How much is actually left

A room with a bed and a bin bag is a different job from one with three years of accumulation. Photos price it fastest.

Mattresses and electricals

Both carry specific disposal charges at the tip. Not a problem, but they need to be in the quote.

Stairs and access

Fourth-floor tenement with no lift is the classic student flat. Tell us the floor and we build the carry in.

Whether you're splitting it

Flat clearances split between four people work out far cheaper each than four separate room jobs. Worth organising together.

Timing in the year

Late June and early July are the busiest weeks in the calendar for this. Book earlier in that window if you can.

Whether anything is being kept

If some of it is going to a new address rather than the tip, say so and we’ll quote both in one figure.

What's included, and what isn't

Included in the price

Standard on every job, at no extra cost.

Not included

Available, but quoted separately so nothing is hidden.

Student clearance questions

How much does a student room clearance cost?

Ours start at £60 for a single room, £110 for a room plus shared areas, and £220 for a whole student flat. Tip fees are inside those figures. Send photos of what’s left and you’ll get a fixed price back, usually within the hour.

Yes, and it’s much cheaper that way. A £220 flat clearance split four ways is £55 each — less than doing four separate rooms. We can send one quote and you sort the split, or itemise it per room if that’s easier.

It removes one of the common reasons for deductions, which is items left behind. We give you waste transfer paperwork showing everything was disposed of legally, which is worth having if your agent queries it. We can’t help with cleaning or damage — that’s a separate argument.

Often the same week, though late June and early July are the busiest weeks of our year for this. If you’re on a hard tenancy end date, tell us the date when you first get in touch and we’ll work back from it.

Anything usable goes to a local charity — furniture, clothes, kitchen equipment and unopened food all get taken rather than tipped. What’s genuinely waste is disposed of properly and recycled where it can be.

Might be a better fit

Student storage and shipping

Keeping things over summer rather than throwing them out.

Man and van

Moving between flats rather than clearing one out.

House clearance

Full property clearances rather than a student room.
