We read it properly
Within the hour, in working time. A person reads it — you won't get an automated acknowledgement and then silence.
We ask anything missing
Usually one message: stairs, access or a date. This is the bit that makes the price hold on the day.
You get a fixed price
In writing, with what's included. For bigger jobs we'll arrange a free survey first.
You decide, with no chasing
If it's a no, that's fine and you won't hear from us again. If it's a yes, we confirm the slot in writing.
Where we are
We’re a working yard rather than a shop, so it’s worth ringing before you come down. Most things can be sorted over the phone anyway.

How quickly will you reply?
Inside the hour during working time, and by the same evening if you message outside it. If you haven’t heard from us in a working day, something has gone wrong — phone us.
What do you need from me to quote?
Two postcodes, roughly what’s moving, and whether there are stairs at either end. That’s usually enough. For clearances, photos beat any description.
Can I get a quote without a firm date?
Yes. Prices don’t change much by date except at month-end and on Fridays, so we can give you a figure and hold it while you sort your dates.
Do you charge for a survey?
No. For larger homes and commercial jobs we’d rather come and look than guess, and it costs you nothing either way.
Is anyone there at weekends?
We work most Saturdays and answer messages on Sundays. Sunday jobs themselves are by arrangement.
